James’ career at Cochran began in 1970 as an Apprentice Plater, manually marking off tube plates for drilling. James went on to become Factory Manager and finished his career after 51 years at Cochran as Quality Compliance Manager.
James was presented* with a whisky Decanter and cheque from Cochran as well as a sizeable amount of money that his friends and colleagues collected for him. James is yet to decide what he will spend the collection on, but we are sure it will be fun!
Allan Shaw (pictured), said “It was an honour and a privilege to work with James over many years. He held more pride and passion for Cochran than anyone else who has worked for the company. Wishing him well for a long and happy retirement.”
